From ultra-modern masterpieces of steel and glass to historical landmarks. Some large and opulent with majestic facades, other smaller and less obvious architectural gems. The railroad terminals all over the world are living symbols of an old-fashion adventure that really captured our imagination.
It was well past midnight as ‘The Canadian’ left Edmonton and headed towards our next destination – Winnipeg. Although we were over 4-hours behind the schedule, it didn’t really matter. What mattered was that we were out there in the world doing something we loved and feeling more engaged in the moment.
In no time, we were lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking as the train progressed slowly across flat plains.
