There isn’t a person on this planet that doesn’t benefit from a little outside help, and I must admit that I couldn’t have done it all alone. Maybe that’s the best thing that I’ve learnt – never be shy about seeking wisdom and help from others.
Risking rejection by engaging with people who might not care about my around the world trip was not easy. At first, it was hard to make even small requests. But I grew to enjoy the process as I went along despite the fact that I was rejected dozens of times. If I didn’t get help, I went somewhere else.
At a core level, I came to rely on the random events of kindness of the universe and the inherent good nature of people. It planted that seed in my head, that if you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself one way or the other. Either you’ll make it, or you’ll learn, but you’ll never lose.
Dozens of businesses and people from across the world including Mr. Kunio Koike from Tokyo – the owner of Homeikan, appeared as if by magic and helped me in my quest. They gave me a gift of fulfilling a dream.
People want to help!
