All travelers get sunny and rainy days, but we certainly can’t plan for them. No matter what, we just have to accept them as they come. And, although the weather was unsettled, with dark clouds obscuring everything and an occasional twinkle of sun, the scenery of Achill Island in County Mayo was still gorgeous.

Keem Beach – a wide, sandy beach, with a few rocks and the vertical walls of the hills and cliffs soaring up – is another little corner of paradise on the Wild Atlantic Way. Solitary and so remote.
