Departures were always poignant for us. In many places, we were torn between the desire to remain a little longer and the need to respect the time constraints of our itinerary. But I was happy to have even that short time when we carved our way through places like Glengesh Pass in County Donegal.

The rural scenes, the relaxing countryside and the meandering drive made me full of awe, of wonder and exaltation.
