There were many times when I felt this same overwhelming joy.
Lovely glimpses of the Atlantic and its always invigorating smell. A joy of stopping for a snack and a cup of coffee at small settlements and towns nestled along the coast. A pleasure of looking over the huge expanse of the ocean and seeing its powerful force. Winding roads over the rolling terrain and passing through lovely scenery like the Valentia Island in County Kerry.
The Wild Atlantic Way has been generous from top to toe.
