The city of temples

The city of temples

When the Greeks were building their temples, or the Egyptians – the pyramids, or the Romans – roads, I don’t think that they were thinking that hundreds or even thousands of years later we will still look at the stones, bricks or heaps of sand that they laid down.

The archaeological sites as the one in Agrigento, with a string of five Greek temples and the ancient city walls, need to be cultivated as they are our window to the past.
