Founded as a Greek colony in the 6th century B.C., Agrigento, with population estimates in the range of 200 000 to 800 000, became one of the leading cities during the golden age of Ancient Greece.
I’m always fascinated to witness a glimpse of history and fantasize, if I could be invisible and go back in time, how cool it would be to meander through the streets of places like Agrigento and become overloaded with an explosion of colors, smells and sounds.
