Travelling the way that I did – exploring seas by boats, jumping on trains, visiting London, Mumbai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo or New York, and diving into a few other places – offered me everything I was looking for.
All I can tell from that experience is that, if you ever find yourself with both the inclination and opportunity to travel for extended period of time, I’d say grab it when you can. It’ll be the best investment in yourself. It’ll be a huge personal growth journey. You may not even understand the value of what you’ll learn. But one day that piece of knowledge is going to come to you.
Of course, there is a lot of nuance to that, and there’s no doubt that money is a significant factor. But I also know that where there is a will, there is a way. I had no much money. But I figured it out. The will is a powerful thing. A very powerful thing. And, people want to help.
As someone said, life goes by quickly – like a summer day. It never seems that when you are a kid, but, when you get a little older, you realize that life goes way too fast. You don’t get a second chance, so don’t waste your time.
There are seas to be crossed, cities to be visited, trains to be rode, people to be met, and the entire world to be roamed.
